Al Sharpton, The Race-Monger

February 23rd, 2009

For those of you that cry racism when seeing the NY Post cartoon depicting two police officers standing over a chimp’s body saying “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”, please consider the following:

If you see that cartoon and immediately think racism, chances are that you are in fact, a racist. If you are white and thought racism, then you see similarities between black people and chimps. If you are black and thought racism, then you view yourself as being similar to a chimp.

Only when one thinks racist thoughts or when looking specifically for something racist, will you find something.

    While I, too, think Al Sharpton is an idiot (a HUGE idiot, in fact), I dont think its such a leap to assume there is a little racism. The problem is, everyone needs to just calm down and not lose their minds whenever anything is said. The whole Nappy-Headed-Hos incident was the most blown out of proportion event of the last 5 years, and is just an example of things being taken and blown up to this extreme that is bad for everyone involved.

    This was my idea about the topic. Im glad to see you used it in your blog. Yes, one would only be offended by that cartoon if one thinks that they resemble an ape. What about the fact that there were so many jokes referring to former President Bush looking like an ape? Was that turned into something racist? No. Each and every human looks different. Al Sharpton needs to start doing better things with his time on this planet instead of being a racist.

    You are a crazy mo-fo. You state in your article that “Only when one thinks racist thoughts or when looking specifically for something racist, will you find something.”. Considering that you found something in this compelling enough to blog about it what does that make you - “chances are that you are in fact, a racist.”

    @Matza Baker

    Actually, I am commenting on someone else calling this racist.

    Thanks
