This Day On Earth

Why teach this in public schools to foreign students? I know we don’t have an “official” language, but English is the default language spoken in this country. In fact, most of the world speaks English. 

The title of this class needs to be changed to “English as a First Language”, or “You’re in America, Speak English”, or better yet “Communicate With Everyone Else” .

America has turned into a weak nation where we have to appease everyone. Guess what America? Life is not fair. Sometimes you win, most of the times you lose. Dust yourself off and move along.

You can’t please 100% of the people, 100% of the time, so why are we trying?

The World Health Organization is holding a two-day meeting discussing swine flu in Cancun.

One could argue that they are holding the meeting there to promote tourism…..OR

I would argue that they used Cancun to get a nice mini-vacation out of these “talks”. Swine Flu
